How to use GigE camera in RTMaps

Hello,

I want to connect 2 or 3 GigE camera(FLIR BFLY) to RTMaps and record data in a simple way (Just connecting blocks).

I have found some FLIR libraries but it does not connect to several cameras. ( only 1 camera can be connected)

Are there any libraries that I can use?

thank you in advance.

    Hello,

What do you mean by FLIR libraries that can only connect to one camera ? We do not provide FLIR libraries, we only develop components with the publicly available SDK on their website. Which means that our components can be used with the libraries they offer.

To use FLIR cameras in RTMaps, you can either use the components in the package rtmaps_pointgrey_spinnaker.pck or with the package rtmaps_pointgrey_flycapture2.pck. Since you have 3 cameras, you will need to place 3 components on your diagram.

Also, if you need to know which package to use with which FLIR camera, please refer to this table (source) :

  • Thank you for your comment.

Yes. I have tried this Spinnaker package to view 2 camera images.

When I place only 1 component (while connecting 2 cameras) in my diagram, I can see image with viewer. But when I place 2 component, image shown in the viewer stops.

Am I missing something? Do you need additional setting with camera or this component?

    Thank you,

    Ryota

  • Hello,

I assume you connected one camera component to one image viewer, i.e one viewer per camera ?

This issue is most likely due to an issue in the properties you set in one of the camera component.

Could you upload of screenshot of your diagram showing the properties of all camera components ?
